Well if it isn’t some great news before the holidays kick in!
Half of our team is already on well-deserved holiday vacation, but the rest of us are still hard at work. After months of waiting for our custom order of Hahnemühle 100% cotton paper for Catch-22, it has finally arrived. A few weeks before Fedrigoni paper for the Essential Edition arrived as well, but now the whole stock is in our workshop and ready to go.
The reason we had to do a custom order once again is to accommodate for the thickness of the volume of Catch-22, while still retaining that beloved texture of 100% cotton mould made paper. Since the work on Sherlock was (finally) completed last week, the paper couldn’t have arrived at a better time.
The first printing dies will be ready by 2nd of January, when we’ll kick off the preparations and perhaps even start printing the very same day. This will closely coincide with the development and eventual announcement of our mystery project; something that we have been working on for a long time and should all go well, it will be ready for presentation in Q1 of 2024.
In the mean time, we have perfected the design for binding and cases for all Catch-22 editions, so we’ll be working on them in parallel, to minimise the production time and keep everything streamlined.
But that one thing that is about to be announced… We can’t wait!
