Let’s start with some great news: we’ve been granted a small extension on our lease, meaning 2001 should be fully printed before we have to pack up and move. As of now, everything has been printed except for the chapter titles, which are still awaiting their splash of color. While the relocation will still impact production as previously announced, at least we won’t need to pause and resume printing of 2001 later. Instead, we’ll be able to have Heidi fully serviced in the new space before she begins printing The Hound. As the printing process wraps up, our team is busy with all the necessary prep work for binding and case-making—marbling, cutting, formatting, and more.
Our current plan is to complete both 2001 and The Hound without launching any new preorders. We will announce the next title, but our goal this time around is to produce it in advance, allowing us to release a book that’s ready to ship. Many of you probably know that this has been a long-standing dream of mine, and 2025 feels like the perfect year to finally make it happen. This shift (or as we call it: the flip) will also give us time to clear out remaining stock, which we can then reinvest into production.
There are other exciting developments in the works, both big and small. One of the most notable is a complete website redesign. The new site will offer improved tracking for matching rights, as well as upgrades to both design and functionality, thanks to the talented team we’ve brought on board. Of course, I won’t spoil all the surprises just yet—you’ll have to stay tuned for those.
As for the next title, we’re close to signing a deal for a beloved classic from the last century. It’s a book I’ve long dreamed of publishing and one that performed well in the polls we conducted. Once the deal is signed, I’ll be sure to make an official announcement.
The reveal of the design itself will likely wait until a later date, but I’ll be sure to come up with plenty of hints to keep things exciting in the meantime!
