The Tycho Edition is a letterpress printed edition of 2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke and it is limited to just 200 numbered and signed copies.
It represents the various “layers” of Tycho crater, each revealing a new view of it. The case features a detailed topographical map of the crater. Once opened, there is the book bound in smooth indigo-blue goatskin leather with the grid view of said crater. Finally, once the book is opened, the marbled endpapers represent the magnetic field which helped detect TMA-1 monolith.
This edition is currently available for preorder. We expect the production to finish by the end of Q2 Q3 2024. It will be shipped via DHL Express in an insured package upon completion.

The Numbered Edition of 2001: A Space Odyssey, also known as the Tycho Edition, is limited to just 200 numbered and signed copies.
All four editions share the same creative concept, but each is dedicated to one of the four acts of the story. The concept is based on humanity’s voyage over the millennia; all the way from living in caves to travelling into the unknown, occasionally interacting with intelligences other than our own. Each of these interactions has a huge impact on humanity. That is why all six illustrations are focused on such interactions, whether with otherworldly intelligences or own creations (but all of them artificial), which influence the humanity for better or for worse. The task of creating these challenging illustrations was entrusted to the extremely talented Anna Šagadin.
The introduction was written by Daniela Jović from Spacemanic, who played a vital role in turning our idea of monoliths from space into a reality. Her experience working in the space sector and with this project give a unique perspective on 2001: A Space Odyssey.
This edition is focused on the 2nd act of 2001: A Space Odyssey, and the realisation that humanity is not alone in the universe. It is envisioned as a layering of the Tycho crater on the Moon, as it played a pivotal role, containing the TMA-1 monolith. The goal was to “see” it through astronauts’ eyes as they approach the location, checking the equipment and various scans. First is the tray case, bound in premium moon-grey book cloth. The topographical view of the Tycho crater is prominent on the front as it is blocked with dark blue foil. Once the case is opened, it reveals dark blue, almost indigo plush lining.
The book inside is bound in smooth indigo-blue goatskin leather. The whole front cover shows another view of the Tycho crater, this time in a grid view akin to some kind of a radar scan. Both the front cover and the spine are blocked with vivid-red foil. The final treat—and the final layer—is hidden inside, because opening the book reveals handmade marbled endpapers inspired by the magnetic field; the one that helped to locate TMA-1 inside the Tycho crater.
The bookmark is two-sided, inspired by the voyage through the monolith. It, therefore, represents the monolith reduced to two dimensions with the help of holographic foil blocking. The design of all elements featured on the case and the bookmark was done by the exceptional designer and our long-time collaborator Damir Mazinjanin.
The text will be letterpress-printed on our Heidelberg Cylinder using 100% cotton, mould-made Hahnemühle printmaking paper, customised to our specifications. Additionally, the book will feature six colour illustrations.
As previously mentioned, the whole run has just 200 numbered and signed copies, with only a couple of additional publisher’s copies for our own archive that will never be for sale.
